How to check Rialto's licence yourself

Anyone asking is Rialto Casino licensed can settle it in a few minutes. The Gambling Commission publishes every operator on a free public register, so there is no need to rely on what we say.

  1. Open the register - go to the Gambling Commission record for account 57924, or search the register for the operator by name, domain or account number.
  2. Confirm the operator - the business should read Rank Interactive (Gibraltar) Limited, the company behind Rialto Casino.
  3. Find the casino licence - the Rialto casino licence number is 057924-R-334666-006. The account holds five remote licences covering casino, bingo, gambling software and two kinds of betting, all listed as Active.
  4. Look at regulatory actions - when we read the record on 13 October 2026 it showed none.
  5. Match it to the casino's terms - the terms name the operator and the same licence number, so what you read on the register lines up with what the site says.

Rules that change how you play at Rialto

Part of the Rialto legality picture is what a licensed operator is no longer allowed to do. These five rules are the ones you will actually notice from the player's seat.

  • Slot stake limits: £5 and £2Online slots cap the stake per spin at £5 for players aged 25 and over, in force since 9 April 2025. Players aged 18 to 24 are capped at £2 per spin from 21 May 2025. The limit sits in every Great Britain remote casino licence and applies to slots only, not to roulette, blackjack or the live tables.
  • Wagering capped at 10xSince 19 January 2026 no gambling bonus may carry more than 10x wagering. Rialto's welcome spins and its Daily Special already sit at 10x, so the cap changed nothing at the casino.
  • No mixed-product promotionsFrom the same date, an offer cannot make you play two product types, such as betting on sport to earn casino spins. Rialto's welcome offer stays on one slot, Big Bass Hold and Spinner.
  • No credit cardsGambling on credit has been banned in Great Britain since 14 April 2020. Rialto takes debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and Instant Bank Transfer instead.
  • Affordability checksLight-touch checks start when your net deposits reach £150 in 30 days, a figure that was £500 from 30 August 2024 and has been £150 since 28 February 2025. They look at net deposits, not losses, using public data. Enhanced checks are being rolled out in stages: the Commission's July 2026 decision starts at £5,000 net deposits in 24 hours (£2,500 for under 25s), with no start date set yet.

Northern Ireland and travelling

Rialto Casino Northern Ireland is a question with a split answer, because the licence and the law do not cover the same ground.

What the law says

The Gambling Act 2005 applies to Great Britain: England, Scotland and Wales. Northern Ireland has its own law, the Betting, Gaming, Lotteries and Amusements (Northern Ireland) Order 1985. The Gambling Commission does not regulate remote gambling provided in Northern Ireland, though it does treat advertising remote gambling there without a Commission licence as an offence.

So the Rialto casino UKGC licence is a Great Britain licence. It tells you how the casino must treat players in England, Scotland and Wales. It does not describe what happens to an account opened from Belfast or Derry.

What we can and cannot say

We have not confirmed what Rialto does for players in Northern Ireland, and we will not guess. If you live there, read the terms for account eligibility and ask live chat before you deposit.

Taking your account abroad

Rialto UK accounts are for people living in Great Britain, in pounds sterling. A holiday does not change the law at home, but the casino's terms decide what works from another country, so check them before you travel.

Who Rialto is not for

A legal casino still is not right for everyone. Four groups should stay away, whatever the welcome offer says.

  • Under 18s: in most cases the minimum legal age for gambling in Great Britain is 18, and that includes online casinos.
  • People on GAMSTOP or self-excluded: every licensed online operator takes part in GAMSTOP, so a registered player cannot open an account. If you want a break, the safer gambling tools are there.
  • Players hoping to use a credit card: the ban is national, so no licensed casino can take one.
  • Players outside Great Britain: the UK site is built for residents of Great Britain with GBP accounts.

Taxes and levies on UK online casinos

Two charges fall on the operator, and neither touches your balance.

  • 40%

    Remote Gaming Duty

Rank Interactive pays this on its gaming profits. The rate rose from 21% to 40% on 1 April 2026, and where an accounting period straddles that date the higher rate applies to profits from 1 April.

  • 1.1%

    Statutory levy

Since 6 April 2025, online casinos pay 1.1% of gross gambling yield to fund research, education and treatment. The operator pays it, not the player.

Your winnings are tax-free

UK players pay no tax on gambling winnings, however much they win, so there is nothing to declare. The £200 cap on converting welcome-spin winnings to cash is a bonus term, not a tax.

Rialto legality questions answered

Yes. Rialto Casino is run by Rank Interactive (Gibraltar) Limited, which holds a Gambling Commission remote casino licence, number 057924-R-334666-006, on account 57924. That licence lets it offer casino games to adults aged 18 or over in Great Britain. The register showed it as Active with no regulatory actions when we read it on 13 October 2026.

It is. The Gambling Commission public register lists Rank Interactive (Gibraltar) Limited under account 57924, with remote licences that include casino. Outside Great Britain the operator works under Gibraltar licences RGL 133 and RGL 134. You can run the same search yourself in a couple of minutes, using the steps in the licence check section above.

The Gambling Act 2005 covers Great Britain, and the Commission does not regulate remote gambling provided in Northern Ireland, where a 1985 Order applies. We cannot say how Rialto treats accounts there, so read its terms and ask live chat before you register. Our support guide shows how to reach the team.

Since 9 April 2025 every Great Britain online casino must cap slot stakes at £5 per spin for players aged 25 and over. For 18 to 24 year olds the cap is £2 per spin, in force since 21 May 2025. It applies to online slots only, so roulette and blackjack are not covered by that particular limit.

No. Gambling winnings are tax-free for players in the UK, however large. The duty is charged on the operator instead: Remote Gaming Duty went from 21% to 40% on 1 April 2026, and the statutory levy takes 1.1% of gross gambling yield from online casinos. Neither is deducted from your balance, and neither needs declaring on your tax return.

No. Credit cards have been banned for gambling in Great Britain since 14 April 2020, and Rialto's cashier accepts Visa and Mastercard debit, PayPal, Apple Pay and Instant Bank Transfer, plus Paysafecard for deposits only. The payments guide lists minimums, withdrawal times and which methods the welcome offer excludes.

Start with Rialto support through live chat, which runs 24/7. If the answer does not settle it, Great Britain players can take the dispute to IBAS, the independent adjudication service named in the casino's terms. Our responsible gambling page covers GAMSTOP, GamCare and the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133.

Yes. Every online operator licensed in Great Britain has to take part in GAMSTOP, and Rialto does. If you are registered, you cannot open or use a UK account while the exclusion runs. It covers all licensed sites at once, so one sign-up is enough, and it is free to join.
